Effective 1 July 2025, key leadership changes will take place at the Edikan operations, reflecting the Perseus Mining Group’s continued commitment to nurturing internal talent and reinforcing operational excellence across its mining assets.
Daniel Egya-Mensah, currently General Manager of the Edikan Gold Mine, will transition into the newly created role of Chief Executive Officer of Perseus Mining Ghana Limited Company (PMGLC). Since joining the company in 2023, Daniel has brought over 25 years of industry experience, with senior leadership positions at Newmont, AngloGold Ashanti and Teberebie Goldfields. His stewardship over the past two years has driven significant operational improvements, enabling Edikan to meet production, cost and safety targets in 2024, with continued progress expected into 2025. As CEO, he will provide strategic direction and lead stakeholder engagement.
Taking over as General Manager is Alexander Kofi Oduro, currently Mining and Technical Services Manager. Alexander brings over 17 years of experience in Ghana and abroad, combining deep technical expertise with a forward-looking approach. His leadership in mine planning and optimisation has set new performance benchmarks, positioning him to lead Edikan’s next growth phase.
Amatus Niminye, currently serving as Mine Operations Superintendent, will succeed Alexander as Mining and Technical Services Manager. Renowned for his operational leadership and innovative practices, Amatus has driven greenfield developments and introduced advanced blasting techniques that enhanced both financing and sustainability metrics. His promotion marks another step in the company’s drive for continuous improvement and excellence.
People remain the cornerstone of Perseus Mining’s success.
