Blue Gold Eyes Expansion in West Africa and Latin America After Nasdaq Listing

Gold miner Blue Gold is actively pursuing acquisition opportunities in West Africa and Latin America following its recent Nasdaq debut through a merger with blank check firm Perception Capital. The company recently said it is in discussions to acquire producing or near-production gold assets via share-for-share transactions, offering asset owners increased liquidity.

“With this milestone behind us, we are actively considering several acquisition opportunities in West Africa and Latin America. These are producing gold assets or assets close to production, whose owners are interested in taking a share-for-share exchange as consideration, for increased liquidity. We believe that this may present a near term opportunity for our company to achieve accelerated gold production from a broader production base,” said Andrew Cavaghan, Chief Executive Officer, Blue Gold.

The company acquired the Bogoso-Prestea gold mine in Ghana in 2024, which holds a 5.1 million ounce resource. Restarting the operation that is located in the prolific Ashanti Gold Belt remains a top priority.
